UV DTF transfers adhere to most smooth hard surfaces, including glass, metal (aluminum, stainless steel, tin), rigid plastic (ABS, PET, PP with surface treatment), ceramic, and coated cardboard or paper packaging. They are not recommended for flexible substrates, fabrics, or highly textured surfaces.
Yes. UV-cured ink is chemically bonded to the transfer film, delivering strong resistance to water, abrasion, and mild solvents. Labels produced on MEST UV DTF equipment are suitable for products that undergo refrigeration, shipping, and regular handling. For applications requiring dishwasher resistance or outdoor long-term UV exposure, please consult our technical team for ink and laminate recommendations.
UV DTF printing supports any shape and size within the print width of the machine (300mm for DTF300, 600mm for DTF600). Custom die-cut contour shapes can be achieved using a vinyl cutter or laser cutter after printing — no tooling or plate costs required.
There is no minimum order quantity for UV DTF label production. The per-unit setup cost is zero regardless of quantity, making it equally cost-effective for a single custom label or a bulk production run.
Traditional methods (offset, flexo, screen printing) require plate fees, color separation setup, and minimum orders that often start at 500–1,000 units per design.
